Singapore, 25 Jan 2007

Over the years 1-Net Singapore has earned the reputation of being a trusted and integrated infocomm service provider, hosting some of the nation’s most mission-critical applications and the local broadband exchange. Complemented with an infrastructure that is ISO 9001 and BS7799 certified, it now adds to its range of integrated infocomm services the revolutionary and fully automatic online data backup service SWISSVAULT.

Based on a 448-bit encryption and hosted in neutral Switzerland, SWISSVAULT provides all users with a professional, fully automatic and custom tailored backup solution. In case of an emergency, a file-based restore functionality via the Internet is available to the customer on a 24-hour basis. Various add-on functions such as WebAccess have turned SWISSVAULT into a worldwide success story for individuals as well as large corporations.

SWISSVAULT is a service offered by SIAG (Secure Infostore AG), a private Swiss company and the owner and operating entity of SWISS FORT KNOX, Europe’s most secure data center.

“Electronic information is the heart of every modern organisation. A severe loss of data therefore represents an existential threat. SWISSVAULT is a life insurance for every commercial activity. From a legal perspective, an overseas backup copy will soon belong to the fundamentals of most international policies,” says Mr Flo Schweri, Chief Operating Officer of SWISSVAULT.

Mr Mock Pak Lum, Managing Director of 1-Net Singapore, says: “SWISSVAULT is definitely a very high-quality product that is built on very advanced technologies. We are extremely honoured to be bestowed the exclusive distributorship for Singapore. SWISSVAULT will complement our existing range of services.”

With over 14 years of experience within the online backup industry, SIAG is currently expanding on a worldwide basis:

“As private data bank of Switzerland, we are seeking strong international co-operations with a strategic focus. Singapore offers a stable environment and has an excellent reputation for its outstanding infocomm services within the entire region. We can see various similarities between Singapore and Switzerland and are especially pleased to announce this partnership. From various candidates, we have chosen 1-Net because of its strong business reputation,” says SIAG President Mr Hanspeter Baumann.
