1-Net extends collaboration with BT on data center offerings

This collaboration enables BT to extend their data center offerings with 1-Net’s latest Uptime Institute certified Tier III data center


Singapore, 4 June 2015 


1-Net today announced an agreement with BT, one of the world’s leading providers of communications services and solutions, serving customers in more than 170 countries. 1-Net will work with BT to offer data center services to their global customers at 1-Net North, an upcoming data center targeted to be operational by the first quarter of 2016. The agreement also creates an opportunity for 1-Net customers to leverage BT’s City Fibre Network, which provides wider network coverage across different data centers regionally.

1-Net North will be Southeast Asia’s first Tier III data center to be certified for Tier Certification of Design Documents and Tier Certification of Constructed Facility by Uptime Institute. The 5-storey purpose-built and mission-critical facilities are specifically designed to meet the stringent safety and data security guidelines of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).Itwill include advanced security features, 24/7 secured access control, perimeter fencing and bomb blast proof concrete wall. All mission critical systems within the facilities are configured to facilitate concurrent repair, maintenance and even replacement without disruption to essential business operations.
